Contrast Tools

The objective of this project area was to create and distribute a tool that allows web developers to easily measure contrast on pages or parts of pages. By using this tool, web developers can compare their website's contrast against accessibility guidelines to determine if the page will be readable to people with low vision.    

The result was the Contrast Tool commissioned by the Trace Center and developed by the Web Accessibility Tools Consortium. This tool makes it easy to measure contrast on pages or parts of pages or parts of images. The tool is available as a stand alone analysis tool and as part of a package of accessibility tools built into a Web Accessibility Toolbar.
